Hello, my name is Arij Bou Reslan and I am the founder of Nafseyya. I am originally from Lebanon. I am an integrative psychotherapist and global mental health professional. I take a holistic view of each person, considering their mental, physical, emotional and spiritual needs. I believe in "no one-size fits-all" approach, and that each individual has their own set of difficulties along with their strengths and potential. Therefore, I tailor the therapeutic approach based on the clients' needs and their individual psychological concerns, using techniques and tools from different modalities. I have more than 20 years of experience working with a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma as well as relational problems. I also worked with various groups including survivors of torture and abuse, marginalised groups, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and refugee children and adults. My multicultural experience working across the globe allows me to offer a culturally sensitive and globally informed perspective. This is especially valuable for individuals seeking a therapist who understands the complexities of integration, identity, and the humanitarian field.
I am a registered member of the Lebanese Order of Psychologists (LOPSY), the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) as well as the British Psychological Society (BPS). I am also an Approved Practicum Supervisor for MA Students in the Counselling Psychology Program at Yorkville University.
